Adjust services and rules for a property
- Click on the property in **Turnover Calendar** to open the property panel.
- Go to the **services** section of the property panel.
- Add, edit, or remove services as needed for this property.
- For each service, complete or update fields such as name, duration, amount, description, and category, as applicable.
- Confirm and save your service changes.
- Review the **service rule** for the property.
- Choose the **default service** that should be used for turnovers at this property.
- Add additional segments when they apply (for example, laundry or restocking segments).
- Save the updated rule so it is applied going forward.
Service rules standardize what should be done at each property. When configured properly they:
- Speed up job generation because the default service is already selected. - Help ensure each turnover includes the correct segments. - Reduce the chance of forgetting tasks like laundry or restocking.
Whenever a property’s service offering changes (for example, new deep cleaning option, different duration, or price change), update the services and rules so new jobs match the current standard.
When to review service rules
- When onboarding a new property into DOP.
- When the owner or property manager changes cleaning requirements.
- When the standard duration or price of a service changes.
- When you add or remove additional services like laundry or restocking.
- When repeated operational errors occur because segments were missing.
