Generate a job from a reservation
Steps to generate a job from a reservation
Steps to generate a job from a reservation
- Click on the reservation bar in **Turnover Calendar**.
- Review the reservation details: property, dates, checkout time, and priority.
- Open the action to **generate a job** from this reservation.
- Confirm the **start date** for the job (usually the checkout date or planned cleaning date).
- Confirm the **start time** for the job based on the cleaning window.
- Adjust the **end time** if necessary, based on the expected duration.
- Select the **service segments** that should be included for this turnover (for example, laundry, restock, or deep cleaning segments, if configured).
- Keep or adjust the **priority** depending on the situation (for example, keep high priority for same-day turnovers).
- Confirm to generate the job and save.
When generating a job from a reservation, the job can use the following information:
- Start date. - Start time. - End time. - Property. - Priority. - Default service from the property’s service rule. - Selected service segments. - Reservation identifier. - Reservation title and dates.
Before confirming job creation, always:
- Check the checkout time of the current reservation. - Check the time of the next reservation for that property.
This helps avoid scheduling a cleaning outside the available operational window between checkout and the next check-in.
Checks before confirming job creation
- Did you confirm the correct property and client or property manager?
- Does the job date match the intended cleaning date (usually checkout day or next day)?
- Is the start time compatible with the checkout time and the next check-in?
- Does the end time reflect a realistic duration for the selected service?
- Is the default service correct for this property?
- Are the right service segments selected (laundry, restock, deep cleaning, etc., as configured)?
- Is the priority appropriate (same-day or next-day jobs usually remain high priority)?
Common mistakes when generating jobs
Creating the job outside the cleaning window
Before confirming, verify the reservation’s checkout time and the next reservation’s arrival. Adjust start and end times so the job fits in the actual cleaning window.
Forgetting to select service segments
Review the segments section before saving. Add all necessary segments such as laundry or restocking when they apply to the property.
Duplicating a job for the same reservation
Check if a job already exists for the reservation before generating a new one. If a job exists, update that job instead of creating a duplicate.
