Turnover Calendar concepts and use cases

Turnover Calendar converts scattered short-term rental and vacation rental reservations into a clear operational schedule inside DOP. For a new user, this module connects properties, platform calendars, priorities, services, and jobs so the team can coordinate cleanings between checkout and the next check-in without working in multiple tools.

Turnover Calendar is designed for cleaning companies, operations teams, property managers, and users responsible for coordinating turnovers inside DOP. The goal is to learn how to review reservations, identify priorities, generate jobs, and keep properties, services, rules, and calendar links updated without going into internal technical configuration.

When to use Turnover Calendar

  • You serve multiple short-term rental properties and need a single operational view.
  • A property manager needs to control turnovers and jobs from one central calendar.
  • You receive reservations from multiple platforms and want to reduce manual review.
  • You must coordinate cleanings between guest checkout and the next check-in.
  • Each property has different services, durations, or rules for turnovers.
  • You want to detect same-day turnovers, next-day turnovers, or jobs with flexible scheduling.

Turnover Calendar uses specific terms that matter for operations:

Reservation: An event coming from a platform calendar. It contains dates, property, platform, and information used to plan the turnover.

Turnover: The operational work related to a guest departure and preparing the property for the next reservation.

Job: The operational job inside DOP that is assigned or managed to execute the cleaning.

Same Day Turnover: A case where checkout and the next check-in happen on the same day or with a very short window. This usually requires high priority.

Next Day Turnover: A turnover that lets you prepare jobs for the following day.

Flexible Scheduling: A turnover with more operational margin or without an immediate next reservation detected.

Default service: The base service defined by the service rule of a property.

Segments: Additional services suggested or selected to complete the job, such as laundry, restock, or deep kitchen when they are configured.

Booking link: A calendar or platform link associated with a property so that reservations appear on the calendar.

The reservation comes from the platform calendar. The job is the operational work inside DOP used to execute the cleaning.
