Avoiding scheduling and configuration errors

Common issues when generating jobs from reservations

Common issues when generating jobs from reservations

The team cannot fit the job in the available time window.

Before confirming the job, review the property’s checkout time, the reservation’s departure date, and the next reservation’s check-in time. Adjust the job start and end times to stay within that window, or escalate if there is not enough time.

Service selections do not match what the property requires.

Check the property’s default service and configured segments. Ensure you keep the correct default service and add only the segments that apply to this turnover.

A job already exists for the reservation and is created again by mistake.

When reviewing a reservation, always check whether a job is already linked to it. If a job exists, update that job instead of creating a duplicate.

Job priorities do not reflect the urgency of the turnover.

Use priority to highlight same-day and other urgent turnovers. When generating the job, keep or adjust the priority so that Dispatch and the team understand its importance. The guide notes that priorities such as Starts Today, Same Day Turnover, Next Day Turnover, and Flexible Scheduling can be visible when configured.
