For a new user, this module helps answer who performs the work and how their employment information is controlled inside the system.

This guide is designed for: - Administrators - Human resources (HR) - Payroll staff - Supervisors - Coordinators

Their main objectives in the Employees module are to: - Register new employees when they join the company - Keep employee profiles up to date - Review each employee’s operational activity and payment information

When to use the Employees module

  • When a new employee joins the company and needs to be registered in DOP.
  • When contact details, address, or position for an existing employee change.
  • When employees need to be assigned to jobs and you must confirm they exist in the system.
  • When you review job history or payroll history for a person.
  • When you manage employee-related taxes, positions, or reports.
  • When you need to review or confirm any employee’s profile information.

Before working in the Employees module, understand these core concepts:

- **Employee**: A person registered as part of the company’s team in DOP. - **Position**: The role or labor classification assigned to an employee. - **Employee profile**: A consolidated view of the employee that brings together general data, jobs, payroll, taxes, and related reports. - **Employee jobs**: Jobs associated with a specific employee. - **Payroll**: Information used to calculate the employee’s payment. - **Taxes**: Fiscal or tax-related data connected to the employee’s record.
